Complete my Colt collection: Python, which I have. Been looking for a Gold Cup National Match 1911 and a single action in .45LC.

Pretty much have everything else I want.

The “guns you regret selling” made me think of this. Ones I wish I had bought back in the day:

    Ithaca Mag 10 Road Blocker
    Mossberg 500 Line Launcher
    Ruger 44 Carbine
    S/W 696

I’m sure there are more. All guns I figured I’d get around to owning one day and then they were gone, or only available used for crazy money. Oh, and I wish I’d bought a Thompson when I first started looking at them 20 years ago. I thought the prices were too high then. Shame on me.
Colt 1911 .45 full size and compact..

About 15 years ago at the Market Hall gun show in Dallas there was a used but pristine 20" Winchester 94, "Classic" grade I think, in .44 Magnum for $225. I already had a Trapper, and though I liked this one, I thought I'd walk the show and see if there was anything I wanted more. After not finding anything, I came back an hour later and the price was now $250 because the guy had gotten an "I'll buy it at that price if nobody else buys it" offer from the dealer next to him. I passed and I've regretted it since an hour after I left the show.

There are four pistols I wish I never got rid of
    1) 1980 S&W model 19 357 magnum
    2) 1982 S&W model 25 stainless 45 long colt
    3) 1983 Colt Combat Commander satin nickel 45 cal
    4) 2002 Walther PPKS 380 auto

I can bend over and kick myself in arse every time I think about them

Another missed one is a nickeled 4" 586, that probably had never been fired, at Nix Shooting Supplies back in the late 90s. I was foolishly only interested in stainless guns at the time. I don't remember the price, but I'm sure it was not bad.

Swedish K31 that a local sporting goods chain used to sell for $89. I hemmed & hawed over it, and they sold out. Was going thru a WW1 / WW2 bolt gun phase, and they are cool guns. Still never owned one, and you can't touch one for $89 today.

One of the East German arsenal tool sets for AK's.
Was under $200 but had 5 kids, so I just got the chamber gauge set.
If I had bought that then, and a case of "rusty Romy's" .......

    If frogs had wings...

They were and are blued steel. the 686 was the stainless version. I can't recall S&W offering a 586 in nickel from the factory, and personally have never seen one. but it's possible they were offered as an option with the Performance Shop.
1980s up until about 1991 apparently:
