Filled in some holes in the firewall today. Getting close to installing the engine and starting on the floor.

The best tools for removing the fuel filter housing cap that I have found are these:
I use 1/2 drive ratchet , extension, and a wobble flex tool, and this 28mm socket.
It works great.

Got the engine in finally.

Well this was exciting... While helping a friend change the oil in her Lotus for the first time, we encountered the most stuck oil filter I've ever seen. The strap wrench just crushed the body of the filter, and the first screw driver I drove through it just broke.

I've had a few like that in my lifetime and it was always the first oil change with the factory filter.

I've always called them spanners, and the only one I have is too small for that. I'm going to make a more sturdy one just in case this ever comes up again.
