Had to pull back the Timing on the El camino. I was getting engine run on and it was idling way to high. Idle adjustment is backed off all the way. I have it at 8 degrees . if it is still running to fast I might have to pull it back to 6.

Got to replace this stupid heater house coupling last week on my 2015 Q60S. Gotta love the bean counters connecting two hoses with a shitty piece of plastic instead of just making a slightly longer hose...

Of course it's behind the engine. Wasn't too too bad but those clips are a bear to get off.

Also the "no spill" coolant kits are well worth the price. Made refilling and burping the system a breeze.

Had a blend door actuator that started misbehaving a few years ago. Wasn't a problem until it got cold and therefore I wasn't getting any heat. Rather than just spend the $22 for a replacement, my cheap (curious) ass took it apart, cleaned and re-greased, and reinstalled. It's been that way since it got really cold so it seems I'm good.

Wanna do my car next? That Cheby has been making weird noises from the (automated) blend door for a few months now. I don't really feel like wasting 20 hours pulling the whole dashboard out to fix a $22 part. (BTDT on my previous Cheby)

I had to replace one of the rear door steps on my F250. They were installed right after we bought the truck new in 1999. I was creeping around the property and the front wheel dropped into a fairly deep spot I didn’t see, There was a stump that had been cut down to ground level in exactly the right place. Now I have three 24 year old steps and one shiny new one,

Hit a massive pothole the other day heading home from work on a FM road I take to avoid 35. First time taking it since ice storm alignment was way off had it aligned and tires rotated and balanced. The wheel that hit lost all its weights I may get balancing beads next.
