yeah i wanted one of those for a while...
but now im thinking more along the lines of the SU-16.
but the plr 16 is inexpensive as compared to other 'AR' pistols
    definantly has a coool factor.

now does it cost extra to have a 'long barreled pistol'?

No Fed restrictions on pistols as to length. Just so long as it isn't a smoothbore meant to chamber shotgun shells, it's kosher.

The Federal definition of "handgun" can be found in Title 18, Part 1, Chapter 44,§ 921:

    (29) The term “handgun” means— (A) a firearm which has a short stock and is designed to be held and fired by the use of a single hand; and
    (B) any combination of parts from which a firearm described in subparagraph (A) can be assembled.

Not to sound silly, but the idea of shooting a handgun with only one hand seems bit . . . limited. I guess I just don't like the definition very well. I know some people (namely hollywood) can shoot guns one handed, but . . . .
