    Out here by the lake!
    Whatever that chit was that the cheap bastards would hand out on Halloween. Some kinda nameless taffy that came in either brown or orange wrapping. Straight in the trash that chit went.
    I think a lot of the big name brands opened plants in Mexico years ago. The funky ass candy of our youth is now just another chinkanese import!

    Gunz are icky.
    I don't know what they were called but my Grandmother always had them.
    The candies were in individually wrapped in orange or black wax paper. About the size of a pecan.
    Made of some kind of awful maple flavored taffy.
    The stuff was rock hard. It could break a tooth.
    When chewed enough it sort of softened up but grew in size. felt like you were chewing on a sponge.

    Some of them were peanut butter flavored too. If you warmed them up some, they would soften up.
