What is this 22 Conversion Cylinder?

I posted this on another forum and all I got were people that didn't know, but thought it was for firing blanks. It just seems too well made for that. Any other opinions?

OAL is; 1.625 inches not including the protrusions.

The "Chamber Length" for full support of the 22 rounds is about .295"

Looks like about a 45 LC size, but seems just a touch short for that cartridge. No markings on her anywhere.

    Many thanks....

Unless I'm seeing things, those chambers are flared out so much that ejecting the spent casing would be a complete pain in the ass. Unless it's meant for .22 CB caps or something super-short like that.

Are there -any- markings on it at all aside from that drag line?

I'm thinking a conversion for a center fire single action revolver to shoot .22 blanks. The .22 chambers are off set enough for a center fire firing pin to strike the rim of a .22 rim fire. Note that the .22 holes are not centered.
