Drank Coke for decades. I quit drinking them last year, and I am amazed at how much better I feel. And I sleep better too.

Had one last Tuesday and a partial Saturday (because my wife dropped one and poked a hole in the can)

When I moved up to Ohio in 2000, I had a helluva time at restaurants:

Me: "What kinda cokes y'all got?"
Waitress: (looking at me funny) "We have Diet and Regular"
Me: "Y'all don't have any Dr. Pepper?"
Waitress: "Oh course we do, but you asked what kind of Coke we have"
Me: "Nevermind, I'll just have a tea"
Waitress: "You want sugar and milk with that?"
Me: "Huh?"
Waitress: "Oh! You meant iced tea!"
Me: (sobbing silently to myself while humming "I wanna go home with the armadillo...")

Thank God I've been home since 2010!

Lordy - made me laugh. My countrified family always called non-alcoholic beverages "sodas" When I infrequently drink them - Diet Coke.
