    Welcome to the Forum!

I could never forget my first GF.
Don't think I'll forget any of them, hard as I might try, lol.

RG26 in 25 Auto. Drove from Las Vegas to NYC with it back in the late seventies, then took it apart and threw it into Jamaica Bay in pieces. I have regretted to this day that I threw that piece of junk away since it was my first pistol - crapola though it was indeed. I regretted it so much, I bought another at an auction in October 2018. Still absolute junk but the nostalgia bug bit me hard when I saw it up for bids.

If you didn't shoot anybody, why ditch the gun...
Even in the late 70's it would have been impossible for me to get a NYC permit. I bought it new at a pawn shop in Vegas, for cheap for protection when driving cross country, then decided it was better not to get caught with it in NYC when I got back there. Of course, this is all hypothetical.

Fwiw, I was talking to my cousin by phone Saturday & he reminded me that my FIRST handgun was a ENFIELD "Commando", in .38-200/.38 S&W caliber, revolver that "someone at boarding school" ( I can't remember who) sold me. - The WWII surplus revolver in a cloth British holster, with a handful of WWII-era shells, in 1962, cost me 5 bucks.
    (Those were the days.)

Randy says that he still has the old Enfield & keeps it in the glove compartment of his PU.

    yours, satx

    Gen 2 G19, I believe purchased in 1992.

Still have it, still a great gun.

I have a Gen 2 G19 that I bought used in 1996. It was my third pistol. I got it after I sold my G17, thinking I wanted something smaller for concealed carry.

Was out shooting that G19 today.

1st handgun I shot was a Hi-Standard Sentinel sold by Sears as a J C Higgins when I was 5. 1st handgun that I bought was a Colt Commander .45 at 16 through the mail. (My Dad signed the order form.

Dad swapped the J C Higgins off for something, and the Commander left me during a financial shortfall.

Bought a used Python 2.5” with a trigger job, LEO tradein in 1967 for $125. Sold it in Switzerland for $200 in 1977. Love shooting SuperVel in it. Reloaded with 115 gr. HP & Green or Red Dot. At twilight looked like a flame thrower. 8-()
