    That place east of Waco....
Y’all are bitching about mayo on a burger and there’s the other thread where people are applauding shit like A1 and Cocktail sauce on a good steak.

This is a fvcked up world; time to burn it to the ground.
Can't disagree with you there. A1 is for the juices the steak leaves behind....great to sop up with a roll. Cocktail sauce is for fried shrimp, chicken strips, and fried pickles....a superior alternative to ketchup.

I’ve had it that way before and don’t care for it. I smoke my prime rib which gives me all the flavor I need.

I just don’t see the purpose of hiding the beef flavor unless the beef tastes nasty and why would you eat something that tastes nasty anyways.

The only thing to go on steak is salt and pepper, anything else spoils the flavor.

I once had a friend who 'poured' ketchup on a steak.

As friends, we slowly drifted apart.

He evolved into a commie pinko.

A good steak stands on it own. If you have "enhance" the flavor a steak with some sort of sauce, you didn't start with a good steak to begin with. Wife uses some A1 in her meatloaf recipe. Cocktail sauce is for seafood, or onion rings, or to mix with ketchup to make spicy ketchup.

I can see why you HAD a friend! Ketchup has no place on a steak. Unless you just have a very poor cut of steak to start out with.

Ketchup is fine on cheap steaks like round steak, chuck steaks, steak fingers. Hell it might be in many a Bbq cause

Back when I was single, living in an apartment, didn't have a grille to cook a steak, I would sometimes buy cheaper cuts of steak and cook them under the oven broiler. Yeah, I dod sometimes use A1, or ketchup on a steak. But I know better now.

The only way to do mayo is mix in chinese crushed pepper sauce, tabasco sauce and a touch of worchester sauce with garlic powder and splash of bourbon
