Colt Series 70 (new release) with a few minor mods... and only 50 rounds thru it.

Same price as a Springfield Loaded... ($850) so which would you choose?

The mods include:
-Greider trigger
-Wilson beavertail safety
-Wilson thumb safety
-Maryland gunworks barrel bushing
-EGW combat sights
-Wilson hammer
-Wilson bulletproof extractor

Same price NEW or you paid $850 for it opposed to a new Loaded?

if your talking what you got there with mods or a new stock loaded, then you picked right IMO.

stock for stock id take the loaded.

The Colt is priced at $850 as shown.

I've never been a fan of the basic GI 1911-pattern pistols, as I like sights I can use, and the BT grip safety.

The Springfield was mentioned just for comparison, as I'm not a big fan of them until you get to the TRP or Trophy Match.

Not saying the lower priced models aren't good pistols, just that they are not to my personal tastes.

With the mods, Take the Colt. I own a springer loaded and its a nice pistol, but thats a good looking Colt

A good gunsmith, though not a BIG-NAME... of course all those guys started out as just a good gunsmith too.
