1 chunk of deer, preferably fresh
    red potatoes to taste
One sweet yellow onion chopped in large pieces
    bag of baby carrots

    Seasonings:
    Oregano to taste
    Basil to taste
    Paprika to taste
    Black pepper to taste
    Salt to taste
    Garlic to taste
    Rosemary to taste
    Onion powder to taste
A bit of flour to thicken the broth

Mix your seasoning ingredients in about two cups of water - you'll only need a teaspoon or less of each of them. Mix it to smell good. You can also do this with a packet of McCormick beef stew seasoning, but it worked out really well with just the ingredient list last night.

Put the venison in the Instant Pot with the seasoning mix and pressure cook on high for 2 hours.

Put your vegetables in and pressure cook on high for another 30 minutes.

    Easily done.

Selected chicken breasts (she did the selecting), marinated in Herbes de Provence for 24 hours, baked and was so very tender and tasty. Asparagus with olive oil and a tad of real butter brushed on and canned pinto beans with Italian red to wash it all down. . Amazing how such simple things can be so dadgum tasty and nutritious !

I had been looking forward to watching baseball tonight but my wife made plans for us to go to dinner with her daughter in Plano. I hope the food is worth it!

I have 3 pork butts seasoned & ready for the smoker. I'll be lighting up the smoker once I wake up a little more. My back is so messed up that I have two pork butts on a pan, pulling them out of the fridge hurts my back. Lifting the lid on the Kamado will mess with my back. Tomorrow I be hurting all day long.

    Stuffed peppers.
Maybe cheesy jalapeño corn bread too.
My SW version stuffed peppers. Ground beef fried with onions and pepper parings. Add fiesta blend cheese and red enchilada sauce.

corn bread came out of the cast iron skilet nicely.

Had leftovers a few min. ago… but they were yummy

Yesterday, Mrs. Iowashooter made baked pork chops (seared brown first) on a bed of chopped onions, apples and celery... with a side of green beans to top it off.

After washing all windows in the house today (inside and out)… I’m beat. The leftovers have put me in a food coma.

In was thinking about some smoked sausage, but yesterdays leftover from chili dogs with the neighbors has caught up with me.

I had about 3/4 a bowl of chili that I didn't freeze, a lot of diced white onions, left over grated cheddar, sour cream & oyster crackers.

I started getting gas pains around 4:00 then theaters started out silent but deadly. Now the are loud and rant. So I ate couple of Outshine Watermelon bars,
