    Sounds great. Grandma always let us spend time with her in the kitchen cooking when we stayed on weekends. Great country gal all folks loved. Let us kids have lots of hands on experience. Our banana puddings were not exactly a culinary lesson on chopping bananas equal size. But was good enough for her and us. She always said, "the only thing you can mess up when cooking /baking is a cake". I never saw her use a teaspoon or measuring cup for anything. She would have loved your venison for sure.

    Maybe a northeast Thing. That was always my Dad's Favorite. Progresso makes some canned clams sauce if you want to try it.
    There are a white & red clam sauce, same as with chowders. The white really isn't white, its just chopped clams white onions & garlic with additional clams juice & parley. I like it the wife liked it, so I made it for her.
