CHINESE YELLOW CHICKEN CURRY for supper 01/13/21, from my favorite "hole in the wall" Chinese place (WEN WA on New Braunfels Ave..
(WEN WA has ZERO "atmosphere" BUT does have AUTHENTIC Chinese food, everything but the soups cooked from FRESH ingredients when you order it, QUICK service & LOW prices. - What's NOT to like??)

    It was a joke.

    candcallen,

FYI, even though I know that it was a JOKE, I personally KNOW numerous people (that I've met here in The Alamo City, while acting as a Presiding Election Judge) who would IDENTIFY calling anything "Chinese", including food from an Asian restaurant, as "RACIST" and/or "a dog-whistle to arouse racists".
(FYI, the DIMocRATS Party of Bexar County is FILLED with fools, race-BAITERS, weirdos, creeps, oddballs, crooks, 100% clueless individuals, HATERS, BIGOTS and all too many EMPTY-HEADS. = In 2021, what virtually ALL of those pitiable creatures have in common are: SELF-IMPORTANCE, INSUFFERABLE ARROGANCE & in most cases, IGNORANCE.- Most of the local DIMs do NOT "think" about issues; instead they "feel" about such things, with little or no actual brain activity involved.)

I had an 8oz. Fillet, medium, with loaded baked potatoe a salad with ranch and fried pickles.

The web a bit past medium but it was still pillow like soft/tender.

    Out here by the lake!
I made beef & tater tacos yesterday from the leftover pot roast. But what really shined was the avocado sauce for them. The wife said best tacos ever!
    4 tomatillos
    4 cloves roasted garlic
1/2 white onion from the left over pot roast
    3 large jalapeños
    2 avacados
    cilantro
    lime juice
    salt & pepper
    ground cumin
I oven roasted the tomatillos & jalapeños in the toaster oven. Seeded the jalapeños then ran it threw everything in the blender.

Just a minute ago I made some toasted bakery bread & spread the sauce over it & topped it with some sliced Turkey lunchmeat.
