I just bought these today for $75 (tax incl) at Bass Pro, and I think that's about the most I ever paid for a pair of shoes. But these are really comfortable.

I've had some cowboy boots I've spent $500.00 for and a few pair of Nikes for $125.00.
    Dress shoes upwards of $100.00

I spare no expense on my combat boots and running shoes.... wont blink an eye at 200 plus, everything else, I stay away from "payless" or walmart type shoes but still shop on a budget...

If you don't buy good quality, well fitting, properly supporting shoes/boots/athletic shoes, as TXchoctaw points out, you won't be worth a darn...

I tend to spend $75.00 - $125.00 on my work shoes (casual/dress) unless I happen to find a good buy @ DSW, which happpens on occasion. My boots have to be comfortable to stand any chance of getting out of hte store. I'm not big on buying shoes through the mail. Gotta try 'em on!
