I work with new recruits and M16's daily and can pretty assure you it is possible. All you need is a hard mind and poor training.

Depending on the magwell and the magazine, some you can jam in that way and they will stay. Some will go in and fall out. Some won't go in at all.

I have seen that picture before, everyone here knows that it is impossible to install a mag in an ar backwards. Somone is just having a little fun with us gun nuts.

I was trained several Pvt.'s in Marksmanship and you would be supprised how many of them when trying to rush will put the mage in backwards or upside down and about half the time they do stay.
