Gotta love a good brake. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that beast....

The buffer for that thing has to weigh three pounds!!!

I've always wanted a 300 WM AR. I'd say that's right up there at the top of ultimate types of rifles. About the only thing that would beat it would be a 338LM AR.

You have one those? That is unbelievable recoil reduction. I'm gonna look those guys up, not familiar with that brand.

Yes I have one but there are now called Falkor.
They started with a steel barrel, then went to a proof barrel, and now have a Dracos barrel.

Since subject is Homeland Security and defense of, and not Home Defense, I’ll stick to the subject and not dwell on M1 Carbine for home. Seems defense of the homeland won’t take place around the home and gear probably will be toted. The young can handle the load. Us old guys would have to tote lighter weapons.

My choice would be the really lightweight carbon fiber AR-15 / Scope combo, or for the reach, Ruger lightweight carbine size M77, 30-06 with lightweight Leupold 2-4 scope. Like these two HoustonCollection.US items.

    I like your style.

I have a Daewoo K1A1 with 5 loaded mags in my BR closet.

It's as reliable as an Estwing claw hammer![/QUOTE
I kick myself for not buying one in the 94 when you could get it new for $400, I held out until I could pay almost triple!

Oh yeah, if I had to pick ONLY one, it would be the custom-built AR10 in .308....It's not quite the best in any 'individual' category, but is a contender in most and incredibly versatile.
