Where are 1000y public ranges in texas?

everyone knows about Tac-pro but i heard it was paper targets and its only open to members and its closed alot. Where else can you shoot 1000 yards?

Bayou Rifles near Pearland has 1000 yd matches at the Juliff range. It is not a public range.

Fort Bliss Rod & Gun Club: A firing line a mile long, with a dozen separate ranges for pistol, rifle, and shotgun.

Ranges to 1000 yards for rifle.

Now were talking. I have been shooting at 500ish yards for awhile and would love to take a crack at a grand

Tiger Valley in Waco, they go up to 1000yds.

I just talked to the guy who runs Tiger Valley in Waco at the Gun show in Dallas Market Hall, He said his 1000y is only open for courses and classes. So no luck there.

The 1,000 yard match at Bayou Rifles is open to all - not just club members.

You only need to be a club member to use the ranges whenever you want, and the 1,000 is only open for practice Tuesdays and Fridays 8:00 AM until noon. Other ranges have priority most times.

Come on out to the 1,000 yard match, first Sunday of every month, sign-in 7:00-7:30 AM. Club members match fee $15, non-members $20.

Shooting @ Tiger Valley

TJ used to have "open" weekends when he wasn't booked up or flat assed worn out. It was only 2 or 3 times a year, but the 1000 yd KD range was opened up.

I know this month he's booked on contract training, but keep searching here & ARFCOM Texas forum, that's where you usually see the announcments.

I've shot there several times on the open weekends & you definetly need to get it while it's there. I'm not sure of the name, but there's a fairly new 1000 yd range near San Angelo. good luck

2007 Hwy 5; (318) 872-0111 Check in on their website as there is a map that gives directions to the range. They feature the ONLY 1000 yard shooting range in Louisiana plus they have a 200 yard range There are several bays for short range plinking and pistol training.
