Putin is already "on the record" stating that the worst thing that happened in the 20th century was the fall of the Soviet Union (his former bosses). So now he's in the process of reconstituting that empire and no one on this planet seems to have the balls to stop him. The current administration in Washington is as useless as $#@! on a boar hog and the E.U. is mostly dependent on Russian gas and oil so Putin pretty much has the world by the ass.
but...but...but didn't Obama (he of the all-knowing and prescient vision) mock Mitt Romney during the presidential debates about the eighties wanting their Cold War thinking back? Surely you're not gain-saying the leader of the enlightened ones?

Ukraine has a military. Overthrow their elected government, but not big enough boys to take on Russia?
    Comparing Putin to Hitler. Pathetic.
Anyone remember we went to war with Germany because they declared war on us and were allied with Japan who attacked us? Not because they were invading countries.
Let Europe burn for all I care. If you want us to tangle with Russia, wait and see if they have the balls to attack us.
We need to stay out of this bullshit and focus on eliminating the liberal tyrants in office.

Ron Paul: Crimea secedes. So what?

In the words of Dr. Paul. Crimea secedes: so what? Aka it's none of our business.

Residents of Crimea voted over the weekend on whether they would remain an autonomous region of Ukraine or join the Russian Federation. In so doing, they joined a number of countries and regions — including recently Scotland, Catalonia and Venice — that are seeking to secede from what they view as unresponsive or oppressive governments.
These latter three are proceeding without much notice, while the overwhelming Crimea vote to secede from Ukraine has incensed U.S. and European Union officials, and has led NATO closer to conflict with Russia than since the height of the Cold War.

It's not our business plus it seems like Crimea wants to leave Ukraine.

We are idiots if we take military action.

What if Texas seceded from the US? Would it be right for some third country to stick their nose in our business, "liberate us", and try to reunite us?

Economy, industry, and transportation have changed a lot since the last one. They need us a lot more than we need them.

Heck I'd just be happy to see one of the original Republic of Texas flags flyin over a free Texas.

Crimea is none of the US's business. Like others have said.....Crimea wanted this. Even if he goes after the rest of Crimea I dont think we should get the military involved. We need to focus on what the hell is happening right here, with all those pricks in DC.

things are so grey these days. what Putin is doing in Ukraine has enough similar characteristics to what we did in Iraq and Afghanistan that he can argue certain things. He might be wrong but it gives him something to say...

I am not sure about the similar circumstances you are referencing.

Russia is continuing to take additional areas in Ukraine because no one is standing up to him.

Attacking and occupying a country that didnt attack first...

That is not as cut and dry as some may wish to make it. If simple minded people believe that without peeling back the layers and looking at the reality of the circumstances then they bought into the liberal media lies. It is easy to second guess decisions after the fact.

Afghanistan harbored the taliban which in turn supported Osama and Iraq chose to play a shell game of deception giving the appearance he had WMD which was done out of fear from Iran.

We didn't take any land and claim it as ours to where Putin is.

If any one believes there is a moral comparison please lay out your reasoning because I don't see it.

In regards to Crimea voting for a Russian take over. That was done once it was taken over and those that wanted to vote against were fearful of retaliation upon them and their famalies life. Putin is ruthless and has no promlem with murdering his political enemies.

If Texas left the US and joined Mexico I'd just move to Alaska and give up on society/mankind.

Or do you mean Mexico trying to intervene?

Mexican states breaking away from Mexico.

Yeah...I'm not leaving the US for cartel controlled Mexican States.

The game has changed since Hitler's day. It changed the moment the US detonated at the Trinity site. Do I think Obama is a ball-less moron who couldn't lead a cow to a trough? Hell yes. But there isn't exactly much we can do now. Putin is not a moron (he's far more lucid than Hitler was towards the end of WWII), he wouldn't have taken these steps if he didn't know exactly how the West would respond and he has a very big deterrent towards their response that Hitler never did: the world's largest nuclear arsenal.

Putin just wants peace. A piece of the Ukarane, a piece of Crimea, a piece of Georgia, a piece of Estonia, a piece of ..... well you get it. He wants the USSR.

He will stage something like Hitler did to foment his invasion of Poland.
