http://www.concealedhandgun.com/ this is where I took my class, enjoyed the class (large class, take cushion for your butt - metal chairs) they have my recommendation hands down... check out their site, they offer discounts for various areas of service

Took mine a few weeks ago with Lonestar Handgun. The website is at http://www.lonestarhandgun.com/. Well organized and presented in a way that kept me interested, not bored. I took my class at Bass Pro in the Rim since it's right by my house and we didn't have to make a separate trip for range qualification. Application packets are provided and fingerprinting, notary, and photos are done there so you have a complete packet ready to mail at the end of the day. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this class. Good luck!

yeah, probably will go this route... I was going to take the class at bass pro today but they only had 1 spot left and my g/f wants to take her's too... If she doesn't go with me, she'll never get it done... so we will set it up for the 13th? i think at bass pro.

    Thanks!

Wetmore Shooting Sports is a good place. The $60 class fee includes range time for the shooting portion, fingerprints, and photos. They allow 24 per class, and there were only 12 in mine. One person failed the shooting portion. Class started at 7am and ended at about 5:30.

    He's also a good FFL - charges $20 - I think that's the cheapest in town.

Wow! Why can't I find a class for $60 where I live? I think $165 + $140 to get a permit so I can excersize a right is just rediculous.

So far, I've spent a grand total of $171 (class, ammo, license fee and local background check) to buy back my right to bear arms, and I'm definitely twisted about it myself.
