Hey I'm looking to sell my gun, but I've never done it before.

I read the how to sticky on person to person sales.

My question is, where do you guys meet the other party to sell your gun ?

Do you guys just pick a gun store to meet at ?

    Thanks.

    Gunz are icky.
Always go for a large public place.
    Wal-Mart, Whataburger,etc.
    Never at night. Never unarmed.
Some police dept. allow trading to occur in their parking lot.

    Ok, thanks guys.

    Another question.

I know its not required, but do any of you guys sell only if the buyer has a CHL ? For peace of mind I suppose.

    San Antonio!
IHOP. Make the buyer buy you breakfast (no matter what time of day it is).

Of course, that is contingent on the fact that there isn't a Waffle House within 50 miles. If there is, you must use it.

Just offer the items for sale here in the section meant for that and ship it to them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read the feedback for them and if they are in your area, so much the better for FTF.
Get an EMAIL acknowledgement that they are legally able to purchase.

Usually for cash and carry deals I prefer the cabelas parking lot (close to my house). I send this picture and tell them the time to meet. That particular corner is usually empty. I get there 5 or 10 minutes early and check out TGT on my phone for a while.

When the person of interest shows up, I give them the quick eyeball. Usually the next step involves handing them cash or a gun / taking cash or a gun. I prefer at least a handshake and then I go my separate way. I have only ever filled out a bill of sale once. That was for a handgun I had been looking for used for some time. I felt dirty for filling it out. I have never asked for one. I have enough shit to keep track of to need somebody's info on a random piece of paper.

If the deal was done fast enough I will blast I to cabelas quick and check the used rifle rack. That all depends of the wife is blowing up my phone by then checking if the stupid gun deal is done.

Finally, I keep a gun on me, but that is kind of a rolls eyes issue. I always have a gun on me.

Meet me down by the river at midnight.

    In a van.

Seriously, I bought one at Cabela's lot and sold one at my house. Both should feel comfortable with location and I usually have someone with me. From phone call, you get a good idea of the other person
