We have 3-day tickets for F1 in October. We are trying to find the cheapest way to get there, a 3 day parking pass $180. I was thinking of parking somewhere a few miles out then ubering to COTA. Where are good places to park + Uber?

You're new to Austin, and you ask a lot of questions unrelated to firearms, but I'm going to give you some friendly advice. Pay the 180 bucks because parking ANYWHERE in Austin without a permit is going to get your ass towed. I call Austin the city with no parking and tow Nazis. Don't chance it... they WILL tow your ass.

Does the light rail run frequently enough to locations convenient for the race? I do not know how much it costs to park at the outlying stations but it must be cheaper than downtown or being towed.

Wait a minute, when did they start electric car F1? Or is the Peoples Republic of Austin encouraging thousands of people to drive to town to see a bunch of gas guzzling race cars polluting their town?

A racing buddy of mine is RIGHT across the road from COTA Lot T parking, check it out on Google Maps:

According to his website he is still offering parking for $20 a day...

People who live by the track sell spots on their property, we've paid $10. Short walk to the track.
