I carried a 629 6" for over 25 years, until we bought a ranch in hog country. Now the big Glock 20 in 10mm goes with me on every outing. Flat shooting to 50 yards and plenty power in a 15 shot auto. Hand loads are 165 gr GDHP at 1256 fps. Check those energy numbers out!!! Recently carried it in Yellowstone on several hikes through bear country. Never thought I didn't have enough power!

Only saw one option, but that's enough! Thanks for the info. Fan of Underwood, I've never seen FMJ before.

Your right. They use to have a 185gr FMJ +p. Guess it didn't sell so they dropped it? Either way Underwood is great ammo priced right and Kevin has excellent customer service.

A 10mm with full power 200gr or 220gr hardcast bullets such as Underwood or Corbon, would do the job for bears, although I have never seen a bear in my neck of the woods. A 1911 with .45 auto hard ball might have enough penetration for bear.
