    Your best price will be internet + ffl transfer. CTGW has the lowest transfer fees on individual items but I believe (but can't confirm) they charge the fee per item, not per form (you can call them to confirm if I'm right/wrong).

    Best price I'm seeing on Anderson is about $50, shipped (multiple places). TN Arms has part-polymer lowers 5 for $188 + free shipping, so just over $35 ea.

    Add in FFL fees and you're still under anything I've found locally (typically in the $80+ range).

    Why do you think that is? If I was an FFL, I'd have a whole damn display case full of different lowers. If nothing else, it's a loss leader, and the customers are very likely to grab accessories while they're there. The in-shop gunsmith will see a rise in demand when folks who don't know how to build their lowers or don't have the time pay him to do it instead (talk about easy work).

    You got me. I agree completely. Sell them at cost, then make the markup on the rest of the rifle parts.
