yeah, I loaded them up in 38 special
Wow ... I've run plenty of lead in my .357mag and haven't had problems. I'd say you're definitely driving them too fast then.

That's a fairly heavy charge for .38.
Drop it down to 4.0 and see how that goes. Should have a 900fps velocity, give or take.
Have you measured the diameter of the wadcutters?
With respect - I doubt that you're pushing a 38 Spl bullet fast enough to strip the lead from the bullet. If it was going 1,200 fps and up, sure, velocity would be an issue but at regular handgun velocities I don't believe that's what's going on.these wad cutters are 148 grain flat.
I ran a batch of them with 4.5 gr of Unique and leaded up my gun.
I see where I must have pushed them too fast, which is more than likely the cause of the leading.
that lead is such a booger to get out, I just didn't want to worry about that in the future
i bought the gun from sears that was around $30 bucks off ebay. i glued on a bunch of 38 cases to a cookie pan and place the bullets nose down in the cases. coat, bake, resize donewhat method do you use? did you get the gun or do you shake and bake?
No, I can cut and paste to my heart's content on every website except TGT. TGT also ignores many of my keystrokes and won't allow new paragraphs.
