I know Uberti has made replicas for many years -- What he said was that the new Colt SAA's have been contracted out to Uberti for manufacture under the Colt name -- hope he's wrong but a lot of manufactures sell guns under their own name that are made somwhere else

According to their website, they produce the frames, etc. at their plant in West Hartford and assemble the guns there. On their jobs avaiable link, they are looking for a supervisor for the machining section. IIRC I watched a program about the plant at West Hartford on one of the shooting shows on TV and it showed them assembling one of their auto pistols. They also sell genuine colt parts and magazines on the website.

IIRC some of their black powder revolvers were produced off site, but all the regular SAAs are made from the ground up in the good old US of A.[/URL]
