I don't know anyone who owns a tesla but have read several times that there were quality control issues in their assembly.I have an acquaintance who's daughter owns a Tesla. The horror stories of what it cost when minor problems occurred are enough to convince me that I'd never want anything to do with one.
I've got a Powerwall, but it's mounted outside the house on a brick wall. This really would make me leary of installing a Tesla Powerwall or Generac PWRCell in my house, though I'm guessing (only guessing) that some of the problem arises from batteries continually being bumped around in a Tesla car.
I use lots of Li-ion batteries in flashlights and other devices for the past 8 years, and in some high draw applications they do get hot, but I've never had one burn.

The Tesla cars use the equivalent of 4 stacked Powerwalls.
Not backwards. Tesla cars have over 50kwh of battery, but a single Powerwall has 13.5kwh.I'm confused, that sounds backwards?
I'd still hate to have it burn there...I've got a Powerwall, but it's mounted outside the house on a brick wall.

I'd pay to have a faulty one be a beto tester.I wouldn't pay to be a 'beta tester' for tezla...
Who wants a Tesla?
If they give me one, you can take it.If you’re giving one away - I’ll take it
