Newbie question regarding gun shows. I was hoping to make it to this one but I've never been to one and I just recently purchased a handgun. What are the procedures for bringing it with me so I can look into getting accessories like holsters and stuff?

Well generally you unload it before you exit your vehicle and have the nice cop at the door put a zip tie on it for safety.

Over priced, they where selling for MSRP at the last 3 shows I have been to with a few dealers selling them for more than MSRP

What are the procedures for bringing it with me

Real simple
Make sure it is unloaded
Have the action open when you walk through the door.
Hand it to the LEO at the desk who looks bored out of his mind
He will put a zip tie on it to prevent it from being loaded
leave ALL ammo in your car
When you find a holster and want to make sure it fits correctly ask the vendor
to cut the zip tie

They are allowed to do that, after you verify your pistol fits the holster
the vendor will re zip tie it for you

Have fun, take a drool rag with you...

Another gun show question, are night sights something worth looking into at the show? Can I get some and have them installed while there for a reasonable price?

I plan on stopping in later in the day Saturday on the way home from the range. Looking for a HD shotgun and subcompact 9mm for the wife. Probably just fondling unless the prices are too good to pas up.
