1st time riding with a new group today and I knocked down 323 miles total, my longest day yet.

An ADV bike to the right of mine, all others were pure sport or nakeds. The ZX to the left of mine leaked fuel and caught fire but he got home safe. I was no where near the front of the pack but they didn't leave me in their dust so, 'twas a great day. :)
    What group is that?

MotoHouston, there's a blast from the past. I used to work with one of the big guys from that forum. I stopped working in Houston and didn't get down that way, just drifted away. That pic didn't look as squidly as their demographic used to be.

I also didn't have time to chat on forums, especially one as involved as that. I know more from Two Wheeled Texans.

I am on TWT, haven't been a regular poster for a while unfortunately. I don't work a job that let's me onto the internet during the day, so no checkups.

Actually, this is the most posting I've done in a long time. I've been laid up since crushing my ankle at the end of October and then surgery. (~700lbs of motorcycle landing on an ankle during a training exercise, I don't recommend it. ) Next week I get to finally start learning to walk again.

Not riding these days. Waiting until the fuel in my bike thaws (joke).
I need at least 50s and sun to ride. 15 and no sun is "a little" chilly.

Took the scooter on a 15 mile round trip to Harbor Fright to pick up some bungee cords that I was lacking during the freeze last week. Gonna take the real bike in a few minutes to the army surplus and pick up some 50 cal cans

I used to pack @10 bungees of various lengths, 2 cargo / helmet nets and @20' of trot line. I dumped all the bungees for 1 pair each of 42" & 60" Rok Straps and saved a ton of space while (so far) meeting all my needs. YMMV

They've changed the website since I was last on it and now there's almost no strap details. Watch the 42sec video to get an idea of how they work.

I rode a bunch last month - unusual for January. No riding today.
