Will Magpul Furniture fit on a Maverick 88?

    I love this gun!
The old stock came off nice, but the Magpul took some work. I don't know if it's just mine, but the trigger group notch didn't fit in the stock hole so I had to do some sanding on the stock. After you trim it though it fits perfectly.
I do not regret buying this stock, it looks way better, and I found it online for $90!
The only issue is I don't know if I will like the grip angle after 100 rounds or so. It's not bad, I will just have to get used to it.

Didn't have a need to trim anything on mine. I am getting used to the grip angle my self. But nice stock and recoil pad as good as the limb saver I had on my wood stock. I am just having small issue with the heat shield shifting but I think that will be small fix. Great gun.

I'm a small guy and have fired a lot of shotguns but it seems like the Maverick 88 kicks like a beast

Thinner barrel than most higher quality shotguns

Funny don't feel any difference. Yes weight can help with recoil but I find length of pull has more effect. A proper fitting stock on a shotgun helps more

Ok I've shot the gun a while, and the grip angle is quite nice.
Also, I heard someone say the 500 action bar would scratch the 88 tube. Does the 500 get scratches on the finish?

No i'm trying to figure out if I should spend my money on the action bar, or more ammo.
