How could I know? It didn’t happen to me. I sure wouldn’t vote for a Democrat hoping things would get better.
Let me try this another way. A republican rapes your daughter and gets away with it through some procedural technicalities. That same republican gets the nomination for something in your voting district. You KNOW the republican is a scumbag rapist.
You know the democrat running against him is a communist scumbag.
Why would you vote for either of them?

For the primary , I say again that I will wait for their stated agendas and priorities. Last I saw West was not running.

West announced his candidacy back in June, he stepped down from his position as Texas GOP chairman to run for governor.

When he spoke in Dallas last month he dodged the question about governor run and had not filed to run at that time. IF he does run , I would likely vote with him, depends on his agenda and priorities.. I certainly respect the man.

Posing a more ridiculous comparison doesn’t make your point any better. Go back to the original issue - Abbott. We may just have a Democratic US senate because a bunch of Republican voters stayed home during the Georgia special election. Is that what you want here? Beto because Abbott isn’t pure enough?

I am guessing at this point you are as addled as Brandon.

Abbott and the legislature absolutely destroyed a lot of small businesses and financially ruined a lot of Texans, and a majority of those were probably Texans that voted for him last time.

They are ruined fiscally , in debt to their ears and no longer have a livelihood. All. Because. Of. The. Sitting. Republicans.

Why would they vote for them again? What platitude would you tell someone who has lost everything to get them to vote for the person that caused it?
Obviously a conservative is not voting for a commie, but why would they vote for the cocksucker that ruined them ? I would understand completely if they sat the election out.

Nobody said anything about “VoTinG fOR tHE DemS”
If you are not smart enough to understand this, please add me to your ignore list.

But it’s not. It’s between Abbott, assuming he is the nominee, and someone like O’Rourke…...

Most of the comments I’ve seen have take one of two flavors, both of which are assumptive. The first assumption is that Abbot will be the nominee; until the R primary has concluded, it’s premature to ask if someone is going to vote for Abbot in the general election.

It’s a fair game to vote against Abbott in the primary as there may be candidates that more closely align to one’s own views…even a significant challenge to the incumbent can send a message to the eventual nominee.

The other assumptive comments are that not voting for the R nominee is a direct vote for the D nominee. In many cases that can effectively be true, it’s not iron-clad law. The D nominee could seriously step on his/her johnson in an unrecoverable manner the day before early voting starts. They could also keel over dead, or run such a poor campaign that the party race isn’t even close.

Anyways, I digress……
