Was out helping a Couple I know (older) with some yard work and during the visit I was asked to cleanup and identify an old pump .22 they had inherited from a relative. Wood has a few small dings, some small areas of light rust and a missing screw off one side of the slide. Octagon barrel and shiny bluing (except for the few small rust spots). Overall I would say the gun is in 70-90%. Built in 1913. Two piece gun.

Once I figured out what I was holding, I revised my plan to only giving it a detailed cleaning/scrubbing and a light oil, vice removing all the rust and touching up the bluing. Wrapped it in a gun sock and in the safe it goes till the next trip south. Know they have no care for the value or the guns rarity. I suspect it will go in the display case alongside Step-dad's bent barrel single shot 12 ga. that I worked on last year (and plugged the breach). Special because of who had it.
