Thought I'd share my experience with Winchester's in-house gunsmith.

The wife shoots a Remington 1100 20g and it had a couple issues I couldn't figure out.

So she takes the shotty up there and shares our concerns.
He says that 2 of the 3 were no big deal, just asthetics. He could have sold us ~$75 in parts.

The third, he said is a big deal and wait here. 15 minutes later, he comes back, goes into the range, runs a few rounds through it, comes out and says it's fixed and asks if we want him to clean it after he shot it (it was freshly cleaned when we brought it in).

We said no thanks and he hands us the gun and says no charge.

I think I've found where any future work will take place.

I never used their Gunsmith services however the people at the Gun Range and the CHL training personnel are great. Been going there for years and their service has always been great.

The guys behind the counter do come across that way but once they get to know you it's a completely different ball game.

Glen and Chris are very nice and knowledgable guys. You wouldn't imagine the people they see coming through that door on a daily basis. I'll just say the stand offish behavior is warranted. Do some talking with them and they'll quickly figure out you are not one of their neighborhood head cases.
