How is the heat out there ? We spent a few days @ Burnet at this month's beginning & it was so hot mid-afternoons that we had to stay in our hotel room.

It hasn’t changed . Very few days under 100 since 1st of May. Breaking all records going back 125+ yrs. No end in site. Makes it all but impossible to go shooting!

We needed & wanted a quiet place to rest, it was good for that. After a few days, we just packed-up & came back to Louisiana. I sometimes hunt at Tow Texas,a few miles across the lake from there.
