    The Walther is more reliable but a little bit less accurate. The Ruger is a prissy little bitch that needs constant attention, but group sizes are substantially smaller.

    I've got over half a dozen of them and can't remember ever having a problem with them. But I don't shoot crappy ammo in them either.

    Have you considered a 1911 style .22? I have a GSG variant that has been great. As a bonus, the GSG's have a factory threaded barrel that only needs a $25 adaptor to use as a suppressor host. I love my buckmark, and want a ruger, but the GSG is a solid pistol at $250 imho.

    Depends on what kind of shooting you plan to do. Walther is decent, avoid the Neos. Of the newer manufactured guns,I prefer the S&W Victory. Buckmarks seem good though I have no experience with them. An older Ruger 22/45 is a really good choice. For those it is a good idea to have the magazines "tuned."I shoot mostly steel and base my observations on that.
