For decades they have been telling folks not to get involved, be a good witness, etc.

There is not one major city Police Chief who would urge folks to get involved.

So here we are, 87 HD videos of the crime, should be a slam dunk conviction.
I bet the victim would rather the people have intervened than have the videos for the trial.

Ya, I'm not gonna be a good witness to a rape. Sorry. That's a justification of deadly force type of crime, they would be filming a whole another top of the news story.

You gotta do something during a violent crime.

There are times to be a witness and there are times to be a man. Shit plain ol human being would have sufficed here.

    Check Phily's knife laws...

Politicians enable this behavior, even w/crazy-stupid knife laws,
Texas did away with MOST stupid knife laws 9/1/21.

Disgusting. What I do find ironic though - there is talk of charging the bystanders for NOT intervening - yet the US Supreme Court has rules police *do not* have a duty to protect any individual. How can you consider charging a civilian bystander that is NOT a sworn law enforcement officer, while the police themselves don't actually have a legal duty to intervene either?

Morally - everyone on that train should've killed the son of a bitch rapist but I can't really get behind any legal consequences for them for not jumping in.
