No, I just want a gun I can dedicate to IDPA so I can stop putting mileage on my 19.

All you need is a CHL and go to G T Distributors Product Detail. Or you can pay the $35 and they will sign you up right there at the store. I would wait for the Gen 4. The Gen 4 G35 is already out.

Sounds funny but IDPA and USPSA have rules to abide by. If the pistol does not fit in a certain size box you are a no go at that station. I dont know the dimensions because I shoot the G19. Silly huh.

Well I certainly agree that they should have their rules. I did not know that the 17L was not IDPA legal.
