Hate to rant (actually not at all) about stuff I can't change.

Seems every two weeks Adobe Flash Player on my Mac Air needs upgrading.

Gotta go to their site (making sure it's legit), download the upgrader, let it download the actual bigger upgrade fine and then lower my computers defenses an put in my password to let the damn thing upgrade something that seems to be fine in the first place.

To make it worse there has been malware that mimics the upgrader to fraudulently get me to do the above!!!

WTF do the upgrades do anyway, other than bother the pisse out of me!!!

Safari. And Chrome. And Firefox, Actually......
To link a photo from photo bucket to these forums Adobe Flash is required to do the single click copy of the pics for whatever reason!

I currently have version 20.0.0.192 of Adobe Flash installed.

    Goodness.
    192 sub-sub-versions of Ver. 20.0.0 !

Is the thing that swiss cheese riddles with holes?

Use Chrome, it has a built-in flash player ('Pepper API') and doesn't use (security risk) Adobe Flash. I run Linux for my machines, and use the flash players that are native to my browsers (Firefox and Chrome) exclusively.

Almost, but not quite. The PPAPI is just the plugin architecture. Chrome ships the actual Adobe plugin and they update it along with Chrome updates, but it's the real Adobe Flash plugin, not an altered version.

Can't wait for Flash to FINALLY be dead and buried. It's one of the largest security risks on computers these days.
