I taught teenagers in two states for over 2 decades. I know how it is.

My own sexual journey began at 15 with Denise. Today, That is late....very late. Oral sex is as casual as shaking hands. I used to ride my dirt bike in the back 40 of the school property after school. I was out there when two young kids walked out behind the building, and she straddled him as they sat on the grass. They got it on right there. That was at the MIDDLE school!

In the high school, any couch, table or washroom is fair game and several times, girls had guys lined up waiting at the washroom door.

Regarding language, I have heard teenaged girls cussing females or males in language that would make a factory worker cringe!

The passage from that book was pretty tame. Banning it is not going to protect the virtue of teenagers. Perhaps parents ban books like that to protect themselves from reality.
