4-round mag? Does that just make it flush with the mag well?

Ok, let me state that I am new to this whole .308 AR gig...I just bought a lower and several mags on Saturday. I have not inserted a mag into the mag well on the lower, but I would have to say that the answer to your question is "no." I have been told that there is a spacer inside the mag that can be removed to make it a five rounder.

Wish I had an extra $240, but that is going to reloading equipment/supplies (assuming I can ever find primers)

The 4 round mags for the DPMS are the same mag as the 10 round with a floor plate to block out the extra rounds. It still hangs out below the mag well.

Are you willing to split up? I could use 2 of those.

Can you take out the floor plate?

I was told that you can, but going from 4 rounds to 10 would surely require a new spring unless they use a normal spring with the block placed inside the spring. I am going to take one apart tonight to satisfy my curiosity.

I take it back, I'll take 3 mags. I'll send you an email. Thanks.

Not sure if you can replace the follower & make it 10 rounds, but that would be nice eh?

Got your e-mail and responded. Not sure what happened with the e-mail thing. Just FYI, you now have enough posts to qualify for Private Messaging.
