Accuracy with the chamber inserts range from ok to poor, furthermore the rifle calibers loose a lot of velocity being fired out a short barrel

    Yes, me too.
And I wonder if that's not technically a SBR?

No, even though the insert has rifling and is less than 16", it cannot fire oustide of the host shotgun, legally the barrel is going to be at least 18.5".

Think of a pinned and welded 14.5" ar barrel

That’s what I was thinking. No way the inserts can fit all that tight in the chamber so there must be some movement.

Also “you fire slower so you conserve precious ammo”. I can fire slow from any rifle I own, what if I need to fire fast? Just idiot marketing for idiots.

All that said, it’s a cool concept and I don’t think it’s garbage. I just think it has limited functionality and useful range isn’t going to be close to what you would probably want in a situation where it’s actually needed. “Better than nothing” is a thing though.

    That place east of Waco....
Might be a good training tool to practice gun handling while working up to 12ga recoil, especially using .410. But I don't see it as a practical survival tool....maybe if you have to scrounge for ammo?....

Marketed to preppers or wanna be preppers or those that need the latest gadget. The concept has some merit but the putting it into practice here introduces so many other variables that the tolerance stacking makes it a poor choice.
