Finally got to go dove hunting. My father in law knows this guy, who knows this guy, who knows the owner of the land. We went out about 5:30 and there were huge flights of whitewings coming through about 500 miles up. My trusty MOJO pulled enough in to have a decent shoot. I didn't get a limit, but enough to make the start of a decent meal tomorrow. Got some good dog work in. My bitch finally figured it out last year. She scans the skys, looking for them and marks them well if I shoot them. The best part is, it's literally less than 10 minutes from my house. Sitting in the field, I look one way, there are apartments, swivel 180, businesses. God it's great not to live in a big city.
