Duttons daughter played the crack whore girlfriend in Flight
Hmm, I never saw that. Maybe I need to check it out. Just finished YS. I liked that he capped the guy on the toilet. Sending Rip in to draw fire was a overboard and the deputies trying to keep the father from seeing his son was kinda off too. They could have written the last episode better. Still will watch next season.

My wife said she'd read that the head writer is from Cranfills Gap and also played a role in "Sons of Anarchy".

We look forward to watching it every week.

Cranfills Gap.....love that place. Dated a girl whose family had land close to The Gap and went to the Gap Fest/Septemberfest for many years. Lots of great dove shoots there. Heard they put an end to it though which was sad to hear.

I would watch re-runs of "Deadwood" over current YS episodes.

    Why?

For the hilarity and the constant use of the word C.S. which my wife always does/did an eye-roll at...we eventually came to call it: The C.S. Cowboy Show.

    The cast was magnificent!

The writing and acting was terrific!

YS, meh in comparison to the C.S.Cowboy Show....... is typical low quality tv, in other words......pedestrian.

Ah man, y'all done bumped this thread and now I gotta vent.

    Spoilers coming - warning.

I stuck with this show, don't know why. The plot holes are big enough to drive a truck through, and that's not even counting the ones they set up and never finish, such as the bomb that's still in the airplane.

Hot ex-stripper moves into bunkhouse for no apparent reason, then just disappears one episode with utterly no explanation. Mysterious African-American drifter cowboy shows up week one, never seen again until almost the end of the season where his only purpose seems to be not helping shoe horses or something.

Yeah, killings right and left that never get investigated. I get that the sheriff is corrupt, but still. Apparently there's a backstory that requires him to "shift sides" on a lark.

Did I miss this damning interview that Jamie gave the reporter that would destroy the family?

Oh, Episode 1, guy who was lynched by Dutton's son on last season's finale meets Dutton for breakfast. Apparently they cut him down at the last second, or needed the character back for something. But even that didn't make a whole lot of sense - billionaire presumably sophisticated developer gets tricked into giving up his property to the reservation guy?

I still don't even understand who the Beck brothers are or what they wanted. They sell slot machines to casinos but got mad when the Reservation wouldn't buy from them, or they wanted to be part of the casino so they can get the ranch or something? So in addition to killing random Reservation members and Dutton's cattle and attempting to rape/kill Dutton's daughter, they kidnapped Dutton's grandson and turned him over to white supremacists? Not to be confused with whatever that militia group was. I have no idea. I'm sure I missed a big chunk of that story line but I'm not going to go back and fill it in.

I thought for sure we'd get a cliff hanger where the grandson was on the plane with the bomb. In a way I'm glad they didn't go for the easy out but what they did come up with was really stupid.

I'll probably watch Season 3. I'm invested now, unfortunately.

So don't watch it. It is entertainment and I like it. Geez, most here love John Wick and the plot line blows and some of the action is fake as crap but hey we still watch it.

Damn Dash, thats the best critique' of a show Ive ever read. Both hilarious AND true.

...and me and momma love it. Wick too.

All true what Dash and others have said. Mamma even says that the whole season sucks but there are those couple of shows that bring you to the edge of your seat and ropes you in. Im completely twitterpated by the Beth character. Her own father described her as a "special kind of evil" and thats a perfect description of her.

Mamma says the plot holes are filled in with the imagination of your own perspective.....ok.....Ill buy that.

Regardless....like Dash said. Invested. Cant wait for the new season.

I hoped it’d be better than it turned out. But, the scenery is worth it to me.

In the finale, when they’re driving alongside a river headed up to MT, reminded what I love about CO.

But, like the show, CO is only good for short periods at a time.

How does it relate to you? Are you the criminal cattle rancher, corrupt law enforcement, corrupt bureaucrat, corrupt tribal leader, or shithead businessman?
I'm a straight white old male gun owner. I have a Gadsden flag out front with the Stars and Stripes and as a free adult male I am automatically a part of the free militia in Indiana.

If you don't see the propaganda in THAT episode you are never going to. Enjoy your mind candy.

Well to be fair, it ain't like the two white brothers could have stashed the Injun kid at the local BLM chapter in Montana. You gotta ask why the leader offed himself instead of just saying where the kid was.

That whole militia/white supremacist thing was ridiculous. I guess in retrospect the brothers had some kind of arrangement for the militia to do their dirty work but even that made no sense. And were the white supremacists a splinter group or a different group? And what did they think they were gonna do with a half-native kid who's the grandson of the biggest landowner in the state as well as the Montana equivalent of the Ag Commissioner?

And yeah, the leader killing himself was stupid.

I didn't get any of that.

For me it's not about fabricating stories, it's about taking what had the potential to be a classic show and ruining it with inane over the top nonsense. I really wanted to like this show but man, they mucked it up for no apparent reason.
