One thing I would do is abolish the Department of Homeland Security - especially the TSA. These 'security' people in airports need to go back to guarding shopping carts at WalMart and be replaced by local law enforcement or the National Guard. Creating the DHS was one thing Bush did that I vehemently disagreed with. I can understand the idea of trying to improve coordination between security and intelligence agencies and law enforcement, but combining them all into a bigger and more inefficient bureaucracy was just plain dumb IMO. It violates the conservative principles of smaller, less costly and more efficient government.

Want to raise some tax revenue and address the illegal immigration problem at the same time? Then tax any wire transfers out of the U.S. unless the sender can show proof of citizenship. Tens of billions of dollars are sent out of the U.S. to Mexico and other parts of South America to the families of the illegal aliens that work here - that's the main reason many (if not most) of them are here to begin with. If you tax the money transfers, you will not only raise lots of revenue but you'll also affect the economic incentive for them to work here to begin with - to as much of a degree as the tax rate you set.

As for Ted Nugent, I'd put him in charge of the Interior Department or Parks and Wildlife.

How is The Art of War? Someone told me it was like reading stereo instructions.....

    :sign0101:

It depends a bit on the person who did the translation. It also depends a bit on you. I love history, and the version I have this time around has a lot of historical commentary, including commentary from ooooold versions written by ancient historians and comments on those comments. Basically historians were arguing about the meaning of some of the things in this book back when my ancestors were still grunting and trading shiny pebbles (then again, that was just last week), so it's cool to read a lot of that stuff.

It's worth reading. It's about leadership, strategy and discipline as much as anything. I wouldn't say it's quite like reading stereo instructions, but I've never found those to be a waste of time to read, either. Anything I can read and come away having learned something, anything I'm happy to have read.

1st order of business would be to commence a full scale attack on Mexico. America is feeling a bit crowded. push them all into south america and then built a wall that rivals the great wall of china. Then put mini guns every 100 feet along the top. Move the white house to a nice tropical beach instead of that ghetto called D.C.

    2. Nuke Tests in the middle east. Radioactive oil is still oil right??!!

    3. exile all lefties, greenies, bleeding hearts, libs, vegetarians, eco freaks and the like to Alaska where we can use them to feed the bears.
