Tha Jackalope on 6th street. i wish we had a place like that her in San Antonio.


good beer, cheap prices, liberal pours on the liquor and punk/metal/classic country on thee jukebox as well as horror movies playing on the tv. i love that place. its a must stop everytime i go to austin.



ps: i just got back from a trip there too see a concert at Stubbs, and hit up the Jackaloppe afterwards. i love that place.

Not bad, however Turtle Club in Seabrook has it beat on Thursday.

$6 Pork Chop meal with salad, green beans and mashed potatoes.
Cheap booze.
Bar floats on Clear Lake so you are surrounded by water and boats.
Great Views.....

I have to agree having a chl kind of puts a damper on the bar scene for me, usually do all the drinkin at home where its safe and no driver needed and I can refuse a breath test any time I wanna
