Never seen a current magazine in a medical or dental office, either.

Frontier Family Dentistry, Bandera, Texas has American Rifleman on their reading table...

I guess I don't visit enough medical iffices to have ever thought anything about it; at Frontier, I'm too busy thinking about how much the visit is going to cost me! Mondays visit cost me a new gun or a case of 45acp...

My MIL used to donate mags and games to the old folks homes.
She asked me one day if I would give up some outdoor mags. Gave here everything from Guns and Ammo to Sports Affield. Guess what became the #1 mag request. Yep I Won
Felt good to do something for the elders to pass their time.

My current doctor is an outdoorsman. No magazines in the lobby and gun sights aer not blocked on my phone. First time we met we talked more about hunting & fishing the what I needed.

Since Covid, all such offices I have seen no longer have any reading material in the waiting rooms.
