I'm planning out my trip to South Carolina this weekend. The states I will be driving through are Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and finally South Carolina. So, I'm doing my usual checking on the gun laws and come to find out-they have been relaxed across the board! I think last summer, only two states allowed open carry. One of them required a permit to do so. Now, it looks like all 5 states are allowing open carry! It's kind of sad that the only time I can't open carry during this trip will be when I'm in my own home state. Whats your opinion-you guys think within the next year or two we'll get like our neighbors, or do you figure we're just gonna keep things the same?
For the record, I'll probably call around to the different states tomorrow and just verify this to make sure I'm not breaking any laws. Everything I'm reading is looking pretty promising though.
