This thing sitting in front of you. Would you take your wallet out? Would you just fondle it and put it back?

    (That's a 1965 Colt Police Positive Special in .38 Special, 6-round cylinder, 4" barrel. For $300.)

Do a couple basic checks on the trigger and Hammer for push off then more than likely take it home with me

It makes me wonder though , if you zoom in on the tag it is been for sale since September of last year

"Original price" $300 tells me it's in a pawn shop.

A couple of pawn shops I frequent, adopting a no-haggle stance, lower the price by a certain percent every so often on a set schedule hence "Original price".

Hard to tell from a low-res pic but it looks un-refinished with a sharp rampant colt and lettering.

Check the timing for flaws in all 6 positions.
If mechanically sound in all original condition you can't go wrong with the $300 price.

Looks like photoshop to me. I don't believe it's real. Go ahead and PM me the address of where it's supposedly at and I'll see if it's real.

Keep walking. I'm not into old Colt revolvers.
I wasn't into old revolver until a guy traded me a pistol like this. As I was cleaning it, I began to appreciate the craftsmanship required to make these old guns. The fit and finish far exceeds anything made today.
I have several old S&W revolvers.

It would never have made it to the shelf in our shop......

Some guns just follow me home......especially older Colts......

    Well done your purchase!

    What he said.
Colts are cool because they are part of American history but since they have run that company into the ground and all but stopped making revolvers I am no longer a fan.
