That would be me, also in my RV. By each door and in each room. I live on a dead end county road and know everyone on it. The closest "town" (2 mi) is abt 50 people, maybe, a store, and a church. We all either are retired or work from home. A guy down the street is retired Border Patrol.

    What me worry???

Oh yeah, for you it would not be an issue. I live in the suburbs. Leaving anything in your vehicle overnight is like just wishing it away. Just amazed at how many people do and then whine about it after the fact.

I am in the city, far northeast Dallas County. Wish I was back in rural Texas.

Pretty safe here. Only one murder in like ten years. Still carry all the time, though.

    In the woods...
I live on acreage at the end of a dead-end road, 1/3 mile inside a gate. One-way in. No-way out. The dogs keep me posted regarding visitors, and such.

The trade-off is I ain't getting any younger and the nearest hospital is 30 miles away. Hermit? No. But the missus likes to go to the residence in town and join me on weekends and holidays, and when the kids come to visit. She can have it. I didn't forget anything in town.

The place I had before this place, was semi-rural. A dead-end county road, off a major highway. The road was about a mile long, and not a lot of people living on it, so there usually wasn't a lot of traffic. The second ex-wife and I had a five acre plot with a double wide, two large storage buildings, and a horse shed.

When I bought the place, it hadn't been lived in, in over a year, and the yard was heavily overgrown with weeds, brush and tall grass. Took me two years and lots of mowing and cutting to get the yard back!
