Desensitizes kids to violence. Some people want to ban guns because of violence. But that will not stop violence. There has always been violence it’s the sinful nature in every human. I agree in general, but lur Hindu firends have very little violence w/o New Testament, so not the ONLY way.

I fully believe that religion, “respect” for others, and discipline are definitely related.

Our generations had discipline built-in, much by our parents’ & grandparents’ religion.

IDK that the Millennials can be “saved”; as they have been programmed to destroy the underpinnings of Western Society and Christianity.

About half of my grandkids are LOST, mainly from coddling and being allowed to grow-up with “school” as their ONLY guidance & responsibility.

Pray for GOD t save them, “for they know not what they do” !

The only thing that would work...is impossible. We'd have to change society from what it's become for the general public to what it is for us...

Right now, to your average low-information, media-fed American, firearms are symbols of fear. For those on the left, they're even worse. They're unfamiliar - more than half the population has never even held a firearm. Their "knowledge" of them comes from movies and TV, in stories written by people who generally have even less knowledge and view them as tools only for dangerous criminals or virtuous heroes, but never for the regular citizen. Notice that on these shows when a non-law enforcement or non-military character tries to use a firearm to defend themselves it almost always winds up being taken away and used against them.

In popular culture, guns have become mysterious, magical totems that only the powerful can use. So when some fucked up little antisocial teenager wants to 'get even' with the world and be 'important' as he commits suicide, the obvious choice for them is to acquire a firearm and take as many innocents with them as they can. And then their name will be known world wide because of the breathless reporting by the leftist media, their crime will be used by politicians to demand societal changes and restrictions of our rights, and the shooters know they'll make their mark on society and history. And it appeals to their narcissism and their persecution complex, because for at least a little while they'll be someone important for once in their lives.

So until we can educate everyone, get them to see firearms as just another tool that anyone can safely use if they have two brain cells to rub together, and remove the neo-mysticism that has grown up around the very concept of carrying and using a firearm for most of society, this shit is going to keep happening because guns are going to continue to be a quick ticket to notoriety.
