As soon as I saw the seller’s item posted, I sent a PM, offering $350 and asking what his payment methods were since they were not listed on the post. He told me that he accepted cash but could also accept PayPal. I asked when we could meet, seller indicated earliest would be Monday as he had to work weeken. I told him I was traveling Monday but could meet him Thursday afternoon. In Austin with full price. I also offered to meet him early Monday on my way to the Austin airport. I sent a total of SIX (6) messages to the seller over the weekend and again on Tuesday. Wednesday I saw the thread locked and marked as sold.
Why would he agree to meet me on Monday and then turn around and sell to someone else? Why didn’t he have the common courtesy to tell me? To tell me someone made an offer or whatever it was. He absolutely sold this firearm under my nose. I even informed him of my 90 100% police feedback on M4Carbine.net so he would rest assured that I am a man of my word. I am. I feel the seller should have either sold me he pistol or told me he could not have waited. I could have worked out another compromise to make it work his Tom, or we could have met early Monday as I had requested.
